Associação Akredita Em Ti is a public utility, non-profit, non-partisan and non-union association, with the following main objectives:
-
contribute to improving the quality of life of children, young people and families in situations of vulnerability and/or psychosocial risk;
-
to promote the protection and promotion of the healthy development of children and young people;
-
favor family support, through social integration and personal development;
-
support for social and community integration and inclusion.
Through these, the entity intends to contribute to the healthy socio-economic development of the municipality of Loulé, and consequently of the district of Faro, Portugal, Europe and the world. Believing in glocalization, Akredita em Ti does not defend individualistic work and promotes the collective as the key to equitable development in the world.
HISTORY
Due to the obvious need to found an association committed to the objectives presented above, the association Akredita em Ti was founded on November 4, 2011, in the parish of Quarteira, supported by Akreditar, a Local Contract for Social Development (CLDS) by the António Aleixo Foundation in partnership with the Municipality of Loulé and Social Security.
Akredita em Ti opens its doors on November 8, 2013, at the Municipal Grouping of Abelheira, in Quarteira. Since then, to date, the association has worked with children, young people, and their families at risk and in a situation of social exclusion, residing in the Municipal Groupings of Abelheira and Amendoeira, providing educational, social and recreational-pedagogical opportunities to which, otherwise, this audience would not have access.
Contribute to the promotion of human rights and protection of children and young people and the strengthening of their family, community and social networks.
Transform children and young people with courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place.
